After forty five years in the business, Jacci See has seen a real estate miracle or two. This Christmas real estate miracle is one of her favorites...
...No one noticed the old black cane with the big red bow next to the front door. It had been a long day for this family with all the last-minute shopping and delivery of food to
community shut-ins. Now, all three Jackson teenagers were placating their parents on this final delivery of Christmas cookies to Mom Kate’s elderly friend and then finally
getting home on this snowy Christmas Eve to their third rental house that year.
The lovely, traditional 2-story house was alight with Christmas as they all entered the house, removing their boots. Kaitlyn stopped, “Mom, she has the same furniture we
have!” The Christmas tree was lighted, the fireplace was glowing, Christmas music was playing, the wonderful smell of Christmas was everywhere and no one else was there!
The lower level family room was a teenagers’ dream with television, computer and exercise areas, and a perfect room to gather with friends! With parents leading, Kaitlyn
and her two brothers ran upstairs and found their beds and belongings in separate rooms—their rooms! That’s when the surprise hit them—this was their own, new home
within walking distance of the charming downtown and even their high school! This was a permanent home!
What was an immediate shocking surprise, followed by elation, was a total miracle of making a dream come true in less than three weeks! Kate and Ron Jackson purchased the house December 7 with the understanding that I would keep it a surprise from their kids. It was also understood that I would convince my contacts to help them complete this project by getting the lower level framed in with electricity, internet, drywall, carpeting, paint, lighting, new furniture installed and all completed by Christmas Eve! It did happen, even with movers moving some of the furniture from the rental house that
afternoon and enjoying being part of this surprise.
Many times real estate sales involve many different aspects from holding hands, helping solve problems, making dreams come true and creating miracles! May your Christmas and Holiday Season be blessed with your own miracles!
